SMART Goals

SMART Goals Long-term goal- My goal that I wish to accomplish is to learn how to successfully perform hands-on nursing skills during clinical. I plan to make this goal achievable since after I am introduced with a new skill I will practice with peers or alone to ensure I understand how to successfully complete it before and after clinical. My goal for this is to learn one new skill every week up to at least 5 new tasks in clinical and become successful when performing them. I feel this is a realistic goal since I am going to need to learn new things for clinical and getting comfortable when performing new tasks is an important goal to have. Short-term goal- My goal that I wish to accomplish for the next couple weeks from now is effectively studying for my exams. I am going to accomplish this goal for the next few weeks leading up to exams by dedicating one hour a day to studying for a course and rotating which courseI study each day. Then, in the few days leading up to an exam I will focus primarily on that course to ensure I am fully prepared when the exam comes. I plan to make this goal more realistic and achievable by taking necessary breaks in between studying to avoid any burnout.
