US Census Records
Although immigration years are recorded in the 1900 and later US Census records, no 1900 or later census records for the George and Margaretha (Kraus) Schuetz have been found. However, an estimate can be made as to when they immigrated from information in the 1870 US Census. Since daughter Barbara was born in Bavaria, the Schuetz family immigrated to the USA in 1862 or later. And, since daughter Anna was born in Missouri, the Schuetz family arrived to Missouri by 1864. From this, the Margaretha and George Schuetz family is estimated to have immigrated in the 1862-1864 time range .
