Dunn’s death certificate, Cloe Dunn was his wife at the time of his death. At first, this was thought to be a mistake and that the person being referred to was James’s daughter Clora B. Dunn. However, upon browsing the Dunn graves in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bell City, Stoddard County, Missouri, several Dunn women were described as being “Wife of J.P.”. Upon further further exploration, it was found that James Proctor Dunn had a total of five wives. The additional four wives of James Proctor Dunn are identified below along with copies of marriage licenses and death information to prove that they were indeed the wives of James Proctor Dunn.
