Module 2: Direct Comprehensive Primary Care in the LTC Setting 65 2.7.8 Organ and Tissue Donation Since 2018, Health Canada has been leading an initiative called the Organ Donation and Transplantation Collaborative. Organ donation needs to be done surgically & immediately after pronouncement of death using neurologically determined death.
