1 Objectives
Students who complete the EMBASE tutorial will:
- Be able to state at least two reasons that it might be worth searching EMBASE in addition to searching PubMed.
- Understand that a drug mentioned just once in an article will, almost certainly, be indexed as pertaining to that drug by EMBASE and understand the implications of this fact.
- Create correctly formatted EMTREE (subject heading) and keyword searches in EMBASE.
- Use a drug EMTREE heading with a route of administration subheading to find literature concerning a specific route of drug administration.
- Understand and use proximity operators to focus a keyword search on a topic of interest.
