28 Health, Kinesiology and Applied Physiology Anatomical Basis of Injury Author: Layci Harrison Description: Anatomical Basis of Injury is adapted from Anatomy and Physiology by OpenStax. Anatomy and Physiology is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY) license, which means that you can distribute, remix, and build upon the content, as long as you provide attribution to OpenStax and its content contributors. For Anatomical Basis of Injury, several chapters of the original text were removed, and some were re-ordered, but no other changes to the content were made. The BCcampus version of Anatomy and Physiology was used to create Anatomical Basis of Injury by cloning their Pressbooks-hosted copy. Anatomy & Physiology: OpenStax This text was a collaboration among many anatomy and physiology professors and was developed using pedagogical practices. Anatomy and Physiology (OpenStax) Anatomy and Physiology is a dynamic textbook for the two-semester human anatomy and physiology course for life science and allied health majors. Its lucid text, strategically constructed art, career features, and links to external learning tools address the critical teaching and learning challenges in the course. The web-based version of Anatomy and Physiology also features links to surgical videos, histology, and interactive diagrams. Biomechanics of Human Movement Author: Karine Hamm Description: This open access textbook was developed as an introductory resource to introduce basic concepts related to human biomechanics. It was edited and developed for students from Douglas College enrolled in Biomechanics (SPSC 1151). This book is best viewed online using the pressbooks format however, multiple formats (e.g., pdf, epub, mobi) are also made available. Body Physics: Motion to Metabolism This text covers introductory biophysics concepts, including body forces, body heat, and body composition measurement. Includes: summaries, exercises, solutions, applications, and examples. Clinical Examination of the Musculoskeletal System Authors: Richard Lebert and Kelly Ould Description: This is an Open Educational Resource (OER) for commonly used orthopedic tests and outcome measurements. This resource is a living document that will be periodically updated to ensure current best practices are in place. In addition, it will be monitored and updated throughout the life cycle, based off Paul Hibbits Learning & Technology Development Process Model and it will be updated and systematically edited for clarity and flow.
