34 Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) IN AN EMERGENCY, DIAL 911. While we hope that you never have need of BIT, we do have access to a campus community designed to help us manage students of concern in our classrooms. Per BIT’s webpage: “The Behavioral Intervention Team serves as the coordinating hub for a network of campus resources focused on education, prevention and intervention in situations involving students experiencing distress, engaging in disruptive behaviors, and/or posing a threat of harm to themselves or others. BIT will offer case coordination and consultation, assess needs and at-risk behaviors, and develop intervention and support plans for students of concern.” WHEN/ WHO to Contact: When faced with a student of concern, faculty can contact the Dean of Students<PHONE_NUMBER>), or the BIT team members (http://www.slcc.edu/bit/bit-team.aspx).
