Important Artifacts

Important Artifacts The following artifacts hold significant value in my transition into nursing school. Each item represents a unique aspect of the challenges, growth, and learning experiences I have encountered so far along the way. My Agenda and Mini Notebook Since beginning nursing school this past September, I have relied heavily on books to help organize my thoughts and schedule, supporting my smooth transition into the field of nursing. Having an agenda allows me to keep track of important dates for assignments, assessments, and appointments. Having a physical schedule has been valuable for managing my time effectively. It has provided me with peace of mind during my transition into the nursing profession, ensuring I stay on top of all deadlines. Using a personal notebook to document important information has been an excellent tool for staying organized. In this notebook, I keep track of various tasks and important details that arise in class, readings, or work. Tools like these books which help me organize a large amount of diverse information, play a role in my transition into nursing by encouraging ongoing documentation and organization of essential data. My CPR certificate The first certification I earned in my nursing education was CPR, which I completed within the first few weeks of starting school. The experience was unlike anything I had ever done before. During the in-person CPR training, I felt a mix of readiness and a touch of anxiety, as I practiced the importance of the skills I was learning. This moment was the first time I understood the physical and mental capabilities that will be a part of nursing. I learned the importance of being both self-aware and aware of my surroundings to effectively respond to situations. This certification not only taught me technical CPR skills but also gave me a sense of responsibility and confidence as I continue my journey in nursing. It reinforced my commitment to providing care under pressure and adapting to the challenges I will face in the field. Walking Path This photo from one of the walks I have taken represents the importance of self-care and stress management for maintaining mental and emotional well-being in a challenging environment. I go on walks as a form of self-care when I need to take a break from my studies. Physical exercise and being outside play a role in maintaining my well-being during this transition into my nursing profession. These moments of rest are essential during my transition as they allow me to manage the pressures of my studies while fostering resilience and mindfulness. In nursing, self-care is not only vital for personal well-being but also for maintaining the capacity to provide compassionate and effective care to others. My Dorm Plant
