Couldn't UIToolBar be transparent?

I try the following code, but it doesn't work.

[helloToolbar setBackgroundColor:[UIColor clearColor]];

The best you can do is using

[helloToolbar setBarStyle:UIBarStyleBlack];
[helloToolbar setTranslucent:YES];

This will get you a black but translucent toolbar.
