There have been a few questions asked along this line stackoverflow such as What are the advantages and disadvantages of using the GAC and When and when-not to install into the GAC? and a few people have asked it on the web expamle . I can't any convincing arguments for not using the GAC. I am sure I am being naive but it seams like there are more benefits (such as performance and version control issues) to using the GAC then not using it. Why should I NOT use the GAC?
