Currently I do it on this way: $('ul#mainmenu li').live('click', function(event) { //alert(this.id); $("li#" + lastpageid).removeClass(); fetchpage(this.id); $("#largemenutop").html($(this).text()); $("li#" + this.id).addClass("active"); lastpageid = this.id; });; Is there a better way to do this?
