Possible Duplicate: Android RuntimeException: Unable to instantiate the service I have been trying to fix the following problem all day but nothing seems to work. I have a widget which gets it's views updated via an IntentService. But i keep getting an InstantiationException when trying to start this service. Below is the stack trace of the error and the code i use to launch the service. I don't believe i need to post the code of the service as it is never even started, but if someone thinks otherwise i will of course do so.
