How to clear the text in edittext

I want to clear the text in EditText after it has been saved in database.

Here is my code:

pictureDescription.addTextChangedListener(new TextWatcher()
{
  public void afterTextChanged(Editable textValue)
  {
    String content = textValue.toString();
    db.updatePicDes(content,lastSnapId);

  }
}
