What would be an equivalent of a break in a while loop for mysql?

  WHILE (ctr < i)
  DO ......

    SET cnt = (SELECT COUNT(*) FROM temp_results WHERE result = "true");
    IF cnt > 0 THEN
      SELECT cnt;
      BREAK;
    END IF;
