Learning analytics is defined as “the measurement, collection, analysis and reporting of data about learners and their contexts, for purposes of understanding and optimising learning and the environments in which it occurs.” 1st International Conference on Learning Analytics and Knowledge, LAK 2011 The LMS and other technologies can provide the student or teacher or institution with statistics of accesses to each LEO unit and the usage of activities and resources within the units.
