Put a drop on the back of their hands.
Show them how the drops will go in.
Reward your child.
Let the medicine warm to room temperature.
Wash your hands.
Clean the outside of the eye.
Swaddle the baby in a blanket.
Lay the baby flat on their back.
Pull down on their lower lid.
Drop the prescribed medicine into their eye.
Apply the medicine while their eyes are closed.
Wipe up the excess with a tissue.
Place your child on their back, and tilt their head back.
Ask them to look up towards their forehead.
Pull down on their lower lid.
Squeeze the prescribed amount of drops into their eye.
Ask the child to blink.
Wash both your hands and your child's hands.
Lay the child with their head between your thighs and their arms under your legs.
Wait for their eyes to close.
Place the drops right next to the tear duct of the eyelids.
Wait for the child to open their eyes.
Wipe away the excess.
